About

The Mini Stock Tour was created by RACE22.com Founder Langley Austin and his wife Kimberly, with the intentions of giving 4-cylinder Mini Stock racers in Virginia, Tennessee, North and South Carolina a series to compete in. The Mini Stock Tour was inspired by Langley’s love for Mini Stock racing which was kindled by growing up at Franklin County Speedway in the 1990s when Mini Stock racing was growing into what it is today. The final push to make this series a reality after the Austin’s discussed it for several years came from the strong showing of cars at an event they promoted at Franklin County Speedway in November when 28 Mini Stocks came to compete.

Austin hopes to give Mini Stock racers a series to eventually have uniform rules throughout the region as well as giving them a platform where at special events, the 4-cylinder brigade would take center stage like their Late Model racing peers. The goal is to provide a fun, competitive and inexpensive way for racers to compete on a touring series level.

Consistent rules, fair and honest tech, as well as competitive fields, should promote series growth and sustainability for Mini Stock racing and advancement for a division that until now has only been a support division.
